ABOUT ME
About living and learning
My intensive tennis playing brought me to Rolfing in 2000. Despite balanced training and good fitness, I was plagued by lumbago and severe back pain. All the traditional therapies only brought short-term relief. The orthopaedist told me that I would now have to put up with it. But at the age of 30, I didn’t want to accept that and started looking for an alternative.
After the first Rolfing session, I realized that this type of treatment was different from everything else. It went deeper, changed, loosened and set something in motion in my body. The 10 Rolfing sessions permanently freed me from my chronic back pain. And the new body awareness accompanied me in my everyday life for the following years. A few years later, I decided to stop working in marketing and event management and start training at the European Rolfing Association (ERA).
I was then introduced to Somatic Experiencing in 2019. Since then, this gentle but intensive work has been an important part of my life and work. EMDR is also a fitting addition to my methods and a great enrichment in my daily work.
